Alright, alright I know we’ve all been hearing about this new thing called social media, and even though many people have heard of it there’s still a lot of discussion and confusion on exactly what it is and how to properly use it. Ever heard of Facebook what about Twitter? It seems as though everywhere you look now a days somebody’s wanting you to join them on Facebook or follow them on Twitter.
Social media is a great way to connect with your target audience by way of various social media sites that can be found on the internet. One of the best ways to use social media marketing especially if you have a business of some sort is to start a blog. A blog is a great way to stay in touch with clients as well as developing and building relationships for future prospects, JV’S and business partnerships.
One thing to remember when using social media for your business is not to get social media marketing confused with social networking to completely different mediums that many people get mixed up. I like to equate social networking to going to a social networking offline event, something like a happy hour or after work event.
Facebook,Twitter, Myspace should only be used to build relationships and you should never push your deal or business opportunities on these types of sites. And by all means always be aware of community rules, because the last thing you want is to be kicked out or banned for over promotional activities. This is Kevin Thomas thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed this article.
